Kalfasun lamps distinguish themselves from the other lamps on the market for countless reasons, but especially for the deep knowledge by Sportarredo of both the market and tanning machines. Kalfasun tanning lamps are designed to be fitted in Sportarredo solariums where they attain maximum performance levels.

High pressure Kalfasun lamps are built with mercury vapours and a spectrum in the UV area that is optimized thanks to ultra pure and ultra dry metal halides. The composition of metal halides and their mixture along with the geometrical configuration of electrodes and their spacing enable the lamp to obtain maximum performance within 1 minute of switching on.
Metal powder is dosed by latest generation electronic control machines. A 100% check is carried out during switch-on: dimensional and electrical testing enable these lamps to have a guaranteed life of 500 hours of operation. Electrodes are made of thick tungsten and special quartz glass which is resistant to the operating temperatures of the lamp (over 900°C). Ceramic bases are large in size and have gilded contacts. High pressure lamps have a high current absorption and generate a great deal of heat: this is why bases have a special construction to guarantee perfect electrical contact and adequate heat dissipation. These elements combined with the materials making up the bulb and the electrodes give high pressure Kalfasun lamps a long operating life, and make them safe and non-hazardous to use.
